Soil organic matter will then undergo the decomposition process and the process is determined by the ratio C/N. The purpose of this study was to determine the ratio of the weight of organic matter as the optimal microhabitat Collembola on agricultural land and the rate of decomposition, determine temporal changes in Collembola communities during decomposition of organic matter by comparison of different weights, and determine the composition of Collembola familia on organic matters with different weight ratio decomposed and its correlation with environmental factors. Litter used grouped by two comparisons C / N, the ratio of the first C / N < 20 are leaf beans (Vigna sinensis), banana leaves (Musa sp), and leaves of rice plant(Zea mays), while the second ratio C / N 20 - 60 is the rice plant (Oryza sativa) and the trunk of beans (Vigna sinensis). Research carried out experimentally with completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments tested consisted of (T0) agricultural land, (T1) the weight ratio of organic matter 3 : 7, (T2) weight ratio of organic matter 1 : 1, and (T3) ratio of the weight of organic matter 7 : 3. Collembola abundance of data and decrease the weight of residual organic matter were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by LSD test. The results showed that the ratio of the weight of organic matter significantly affect the abundance of Collembola (p < 0,05), but not on a decrease of weight organic matter (p > 0,05). Comparison of the best weight organic matter obtained on treatment (T1) the weight ratio of organic matter 3 : 7, while lowering weight fastest residual organic matter obtained at treatment (T3) ratio of the weight of organic matter 7 : 3. Collembola were identified covering nine Entomobryidae familia, Tomoceridae, Paronellidae, Cyphoderidae, Isotomidae, Neanuridae, Hypogastruridae, Onychiuridae, and Sminthurididae JF - Seminar Nasional ke-22 Perhimpunan Biologi Indonesia PB - Fakultas Biologi Unsoed CY - Purwokerto, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia ER -
